§ 2.08.120. Uniforms and badges.

  • The chief of police shall prescribe the uniforms and the badges for the members of the police reserve force and direct manner in which the same shall be worn. Any person other than a member of the reserve force who shall wear such uniform or badge as may be prescribed shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be subject to fine not to exceed two hundred dollars. The initial uniforms and equipment shall be purchased by the department, except for the sidearm, and shall be replaced by the department when worn out or damaged beyond repair in the performance of official duties. The city will pay for appropriate schooling at an authorized training school for all reserve officers.
