§ 2.08.080. Power and authority.

A.

Carrying Firearms. Members of the police reserve force may not carry firearms until they have completed a reserve officer or regular basic training course approved by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education. All firearms which are carried will be approved by the chief of police. At no time will any member of the reserve police force carry any type of sidearm while off duty, unless specifically approved to do so by the chief of police.

B.

Powers of Arrest. Powers of arrest will at all times be those authorized by the laws of the state.
