§ 10.24.050. Forty-five miles per hour.

  • A.

    The prima facie speed limits indicated in this section for vehicles are determined and declared to be reasonable and safe; and such speed limits are fixed at the rate of speed indicated for vehicles traveling upon the named streets and highways or parts thereof, as described in subsection B.

    B.

    The maximum legal speed limit is forty-five miles per hour on the following streets and highways or parts thereof:

    1.

    On Benbrook Boulevard (U.S. Highway 377), from Williams Road (TxDOT MP 3.187) to the north line of South Z. Boaz Park (MP 3.709), also being the Benbrook-Fort Worth city limit boundary (Blocks 5000 through 5100 inclusively);

    2.

    On Benbrook Boulevard (U.S. Highway 377), from the south line of South Z. Boaz Park (TxDOT MP 3.868), also being the Benbrook-Fort Worth city limit boundary, to San Saba Street (TxDOT MP 4.500) (Blocks 5400 through 8400 inclusively);

    3.

    On South Frontage Road of Interstate 20, from Station 362+74.4 (just east of U.S. Highway 377) easterly 1.931 miles to Station 464+70.5 (west end of Trinity River Bridge);

    4.

    On North Frontage Road of Interstate 20, from Station 463+40.8 (just west end of Trinity River Bridge) westerly 1.837 miles to Station 366+39.6 (just east of U.S. Highway 377).

    5.

    On Ranch-to-Market 2871, from city limits (TxDOT MP 14.325) to Locksley Drive (TxDOT MP 14.850).

    C.

    Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not more than two hundred dollars.
